After download of, from link or SteamCMD do the following :
0. (unpack zip-file to a location of your choise if downloaded is zip ) 1. Edit the ini-files to set your chosen ports in port.ini and queryport.ini 2. edit game.ini with your info about your server ie servername and max players and pvp true or false and maybe a password 3. start servermanagement.exe (not cf4server.exe)

4. check info is correct in servermanagement and click “start server” button 5. let server run and get steady (run for some time) You will get a error pop-up, remember the location of the game-ini file it mention for later 6. stop server by pressing Ctrl-C in the black commandline box (sometimes you need to repeat ctrl-c until black box closes) 7. when black commandbox closes, copy (and overwrite excisting game.ini) with the game.ini you edited to the file-path from the error pop-up 8. run servermanagement.exe again and start server on button 9. set your router to direct the chosen ports to your server and ensure the ports on your server is open (allow when windows ask about internet-connection when server start)
Notes If running several servers DO NOT use “server stop” on any server management window as that will shut down ALL servers not only the one started with that servermanagement window. Use CTRL-C in specific commandline and then close servemanagement window on “X” (and restart it if/when needed) As of Feb '25 current server (with new map) is downloaded by link, and “BETA” is old map with some changes to some items. Beta is downloaded by +SteamCMD and client need to be set in beta-mode to access servers with old map. Official servers (all 4) is running the new map.
